Session 5 - Setting: Colouring the Pages

From The Hobbit to The Hunger Games, a story's setting draws us into the plot and anchors the characters to their world. For many great writers, setting goes beyond scenery and creates the tone for much of what's written. This panel will explore the expectations, limitations and method of settings, and how these aspects of writing can be applied today.

This session will be followed by a short wrap-up from the Speculate team.

Featuring:

Alison Goodman, Michael Pryor, and Mark Smith. Moderated by Ian Laking.
